What You Need to Know About Kamala Harris’ Ivory Pantsuit

If you’re new here, we love timeless ivory, nude and beige outfits, so when VP-elect Kamala Harris accepted her victory speech in an ivory pantsuit by Carolina Herrara by Wes Gordon, it was an absolute moment for me. The silk pantsuit had layers and meanings behind it.

The white monochromatic layers with the pussybow tie and nude heels really had the audience fixated. Like yes the speech was powerful and don’t even get me started on the Mary J. Blige “Work That” walk-out. But the suit served 100% chic and classy.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the ivory color paid homage to the women’s suffrage movement in the 20th century in which women wore all white while fighting for voting rights. Some scholars even suggest the monochromatic elements celebrate and tribute to the black community.

In all, the Kamala Harris’ ivory pantsuit and Mary J. Blige snatched my wig. What did you guys think about her outfit?
