How to Pick the Right Type of Leggings

How to Pick the Right Type of Leggings

Idk about you, but leggings are one of my most worn pieces of clothing during Fall and Winter months. They’re literally perfect for any occasion – errands, work, or even lounging around the house. Leggings also make a great addition to Summer to Fall outfit ideas. I recently discovered really snug and comfortable leggings from both Walmart and Target and wanted to unpack how to pick the right type of leggings.

Different Types of Leggings

High-Rise

Active Leggings

Mid-Calf

Knee-Length

Full Length

Walmart Leggings

Aside from the affordable prices, Walmart leggings are surprisingly really comfortable. I especially love the Winter Warm Fleece Full Length leggings. I’m wearing a size small and found that these legging run bigger in size – so I definitely recommend purchasing a size smaller. Not extremely thick, but very stretchy and durable (survived plenty of washing cycles in the washing machine).

Material: 92% Nylon and 8% Spandex

Target Leggings

My genuine obsession with Target is no secret, but I’m going to keep it as honest as possible with you guys. In terms of price, you’re going to pay more for Target’s leggings than Walmart’s. No surprise there. But I had no problem paying more for the quality I received with ASSETS by SPANX Seamless Slimming leggings. It wasn’t until I purchased these that I realized I’d been missing out on high-rise leggings – specifically with the snug shaper-waistband feel. These are also full length, but thicker than Walmart’s leggings. These are so extremely seamless that I’ve purchased two more since buying the first pair.

Material: 92% Nylon, 8% Elastane
